Nucleus SSD/RAM Upgrades

Nucleus RAM Replacement Guide (All Models)

Thinking about replacing or upgrading the RAM in your Nucleus device? The process depends on your device generation and warranty status, so please read this guide carefully before proceeding.

Nucleus Generations

There are three generations of Nucleus devices:
  1. 1st Generation: Nucleus / Nucleus Plus (Rev A), discontinued and out of warranty
  2. 2nd Generation: Nucleus / Nucleus Plus (Rev B), discontinued and out of warranty
  3. 3rd Generation: Nucleus One / Nucleus Titan, current, may still be under warranty within 2 years of purchase
Approval Required for all in-warranty Nucleus One and Nucleus Titan
RAM upgrades require prior authorization from Roon Technical Support.
  1. Do not attempt to upgrade RAM on your own without contacting support first. Unauthorized RAM replacement will impact your warranty
  2. Without prior authorization the manufacturer warranty will be voided, including coverage for unrelated issues.
  3. Once authorization is approved, Roon Technical Support will guide you step-by-step through the RAM upgrade process
Info
RAM upgrades for all the out-of-warranty units can be performed by the user without prior authorization.
