A picture of what's happening in Roon is often worth more than a paragraph describing it. This guide covers how to take a screenshot and the two ways to share it with our support team.
Why Screenshots Help
Screenshots let us see exactly what you see, which speeds up troubleshooting considerably:
- Error messages matter word for word; a screenshot captures the exact text, so nothing gets lost or paraphrased along the way.
- Screens like "Settings" and "Signal Path" contain dozens of small details that we can interpret contextually
- They cut out the back and forth, as we can spend less time asking clarifying questions and more time solving it.
- Some things are hard to put into words. Device setup screens, unexpected layouts, and visual glitches are much easier to show than to describe.
Feel free to crop out personal information, but please keep the relevant part of the screen fully visible.
