Sleep Timer

Sleep Timer

Many Roon subscribers listen to music in bed or while winding down for the day in their favorite listening place. Whether it’s a soothing playlist or an internet radio station, it’s a great way to end the day.

With the Sleep Timer function, you can do just that. Simply start your music, set when you want it to end, and fall asleep to your tunes as the music gently fades out. The sleep timer is available for any zone on any device, and can be accessed from the zone’s volume pop-up by clicking on the moon crescent icon.

Enabling the Sleep Timer

While playing music to a Zone, head over to the speaker icon in the bottom right of the screen. Click the Moon icon and you'll be taken to the Sleep Timer menu

Simply choose the length of time you'd like and press "Set sleep timer"

How It Works

Once enabled, Roon will stop the music at the desired length of time. If the track that is playing ends within 5 minutes of the timer stopping, Roon will complete the track before stopping. Whenever possible, Roon will fade out music once the time limit has been reached.
