Roon Server Not Running Error
If you’re seeing an error telling you Roon Server is not running, there are some simple troubleshooting steps you can try.
Click "Start Roon Server"
If you run Roon Server on Windows or Mac, you may see a “Start Roon Server” button, which will start the process if it’s not already running.
Restart your Roon Server device
Wherever you run Roon Server, if you’re having trouble connecting you may want to restart your mac OS, Windows, Linux, or RoonOS device. If the problems persist, continue reading or contact support.
Temporarily disable any firewalls or VPN software
Roon Server should work fine with your firewall, VPN, or most other security software, but if you’re having trouble connecting it’s worth temporarily disabling this software to see if connectivity issues are resolved. Don’t forget to turn it back on after you’re done testing!
