Reset Roon Database on Mac/Windows

Reset Roon Database on Mac/Windows

You may sometimes need to refresh the Roon Remote App database (not Roon Server) on your Windows or Mac PC.
To do so, you can follow the below instructions:

  1. Create a Backup of your current database (if possible/Roon is accessible)
  2. Exit out of Roon/RoonServer
  3. Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  4. Find the folder that says “Roon” (note, do not edit the RoonServer folder)
  5. Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  6. Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  7. Connect to previous Roon server instance
